(NAT :00-:02) Sound of keyboard (VO :02-:09) KENT STATE HAS CREATED AN ESPORTS PROGRAM. IT WAS OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED ON SEPT 22ND. (SOT :09-14) “It’s a great way to recruit high school students, and there was a huge student interest.” (VO :14-:22) THE VARSITY TEAMS PRACTICE IN THE BASEMENT OF THE LIBRARY. THEY GO OVER STRATEGIES AND COMPETE IN LEAGUES WITH OTHER COLLEGES. (SOT :22-:30) “We compete in many different games, but our main focus in the program is League of Legends, Overwatch and Rocket League.” (VO :30-:37) THE UNIVERSITY IS COMMITTED TO MAKING THE PROGRAM BETTER AND MAKING IT LIKE THE OTHER SPORTS PROGRAMS ON CAMPUS. (VO :45-:50) KENT STATE IS PLANNING ON INTRODUCING THE PROGRAM TO THE STUDENT BODY BY USING SOCIAL MEDIA.
